End Homelessness

According to an IRIN article published Thursday: "The financial crisis is expected to have a severe impact on humanitarian funding, with some analysts projecting cuts in official development assistance (ODA) of up to a third or more."
The article goes on to note that such government assistance is the main source of funding for UN agencies.
NGOs rely on ODA to a lesser extent, though it still comprises a large proportion of many NGOs' overall budgets.
According to senior economist with UNDP:
"We are deeply concerned about the prospects for ODA. In past periods of turmoil and recession, global ODA has on some occasions falled up to 40 percent from established trends."
That said, the UN has yet to report a decline in contributions.
